Job Summary: The PRO Self Pay Collection Specialist is responsible to facilitate accurate self pay a/r follow up. Assigned accounts are to be identified in work files and collection efforts are worked from beginning to resolution. Responsible to maximize revenue through timely and systematic self pay collection efforts. Self Pay A/R Collection Specialist must have good attention to detail, a positive and proactive attitude, strong follow up skills, assertiveness, and strong communication skills to enable recovery of patient monies owed.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma

Three years of experience in customer service or an equivalent healthcare related position

Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good listening skills to deal effectively with patients, co-workers, management and outside agencies. Excellent customer service, organizational and leadership skills. Concerned empathy for individuals seeking health care related information and assistance.

Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree

Five years experience with customer service, collections and accounts receivable management
